You can tell the left are desperate because they keep having to come up with different reasons to oppose President Trump’s executive order barring immigrants from seven violence prone countries for 90 days.
First, they shouted that it was unconstitutional, even though the Constitution spells out very clearly the president’s authority to decide who can enter the United States. Then they tried to call it a “Muslim ban” even though all kinds of Muslim countries aren’t among the seven on the list.
The latest “reason” is the claim that no terrorists have come into America from those nations. They point out correctly that most of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudis, for example.
However, judges, some “legal experts” and other “progressives” will still have to come up with yet another talking point when they hear about this:
At least 72 convicted terrorists since 9/11 have come from the seven countries affected by the Trump administration’s travel ban, according to a new study by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), which reviewed information compiled by a Senate subcommittee in 2016. (…)
As pointed out by The Daily Caller’s Alex Pfeiffer, judges ruling on President Trump’s travel ban have consistently butchered the truth about convicted terrorists coming from countries affected by the travel ban.
The report does not include more recent terrorists like Abdul Razak Ali Artan, who came to the U.S. as a Somali refugee in 2013.
Artan was shot dead last November after plowing his car into a crowd of pedestrians at Ohio State University before attacking students at random with a butcher knife.
Of the nations on Trump’s list, Somalia leads the number of convicted terrorists, comprising 20 of the 72 named in this report. Iraq and Yemen are tied for second place and Syria, Iran, Libya and Sudan all produced terrorists as well, albeit in smaller numbers.
